‘Blood Shine’ Trailer Delivers Visceral Folks Horror this August

You’ve been chosen to serve the sunshine. Me? I’m keen to oblige, as a result of Darkish Sky Movies simply dropped a trailer and poster for folks horror movie Blood Shine, and I have to say…it appears to be like very creepy.

Set in a desolate expanse of upstate New York, Blood Shine facilities round Clara, a non secular zealot who worships mild in lonely, sacred rituals. When problematic horror director Brighton West travels upstate to complete the screenplay for his subsequent movie, an opportunity encounter with Clara leads him right into a hallucinatory net of religion, flesh, and the chic.

The trailer beneath options a great deal of cultish imagery, whereas teasing loads of grotesque violence within the identify of worship (that hammer within the mouth had me full-on cringing).

Emily Bennett (Shelby Oaks), David Name (Insidious: The Crimson Door), Brendan Sexton III (Russian Doll), Larry Fessenden (MaXXXine), and Toby Poser (Hellbender) star.

Speak about a powerful solid. Actor/filmmaker Fessenden has an extended historical past of nailing his roles, whereas Bennett and Poser have every change into favorites of mine over the previous few years.

Bennett and Justin Brooks (Alone with You) wrote/directed the movie.

Producers are Alexander Schepsman, Zeus Kontoyannis, Garrett Fennelly, Aaron Koontz, and Ashleigh Snead.

Blood Shine arrives in theaters and on VOD/Digital Platforms August twenty first from Darkish Sky Movies.
