From discussions on Mike Flanagan’s method to updating the fabric for the trendy day to listening to from Summer time H. Howell about moving into the enduring position of Carrie, take a look at my interviews beneath to listen to about everybody’s expertise engaged on the brand new sequence.

“Based mostly on Stephen King’s iconic debut novel, Carrie is a daring, well timed, and shocking reinvention of this traditional coming‑of‑age story, tailored for tv for the primary time by visionary showrunner Mike Flanagan. Misfit excessive‑schooler Carrie White (Summer time H. Howell) has spent her life hidden away contained in the partitions of her house along with her fiercely protecting mom, Margaret (Samantha Sloyan). After her father’s sudden, premature demise thrusts her into the unforgiving ecosystem of public highschool, Carrie is pressured to navigate a viral bullying scandal that tears by means of her neighborhood, the relentless stress and informal cruelty of the social‑media age, and the awakening of mysterious telekinetic powers that rise alongside her adolescence.

Informed over eight propulsive episodes, the sequence expands King’s cultural landmark by deepening its characters and tensions and following the small, on a regular basis decisions that construct towards a single, shattering evening. It’s a gripping, deeply human story about kindness versus cruelty, and whether or not we’re witnessing the making of a hero, a monster, or one thing way more sophisticated.”
